In Loving Memory of Orlene Grace Campbell-Davis Orlene Campbell-Davis, age 47, gracefully departed this earthly realm on March 7th, 2024, surrounded by loved ones, after a courageous battle with cancer. Daughter of Altiman and Lydia Campbell, Orlene blessed the earth on June 5th, 1976, in Kingston, Jamaica. Her travels brought her to Maryland, U.S., where she was nurtured and loved by family and friends in her adolescent stage. Her devout brother, Dwight Campbell, shared an unbreakable bond with his sister. Together, they created countless memories that will be forever cherished. Graduating High Point High School, class of ‘94, Orlene embarked on a new journey. With a great deal of passion, always trusting God, Orlene pursued her bachelor’s degree at FAU & studied Social Work for her master's at Barry University. After graduating, as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Orlene pursued her career to no end. Henderson Mental Health Center, Nancy J. Cotterman Center, Larkin Community Hospital and Community Care Plan were places she practiced her profession with integrity, dignity and ethical principles. An advocate for community and a natural born philanthropist, she was the first to receive the Heart of Excellence Award, for her outstanding performance in her field. Solidifying her career in social work. Orlene’s passion for singing and dancing started on the young lady's ministry at Ebenezar New Testament Church of God. With the strength and compassion of her Maryland church family, she was able to serve passionately as director of the Praise and Worship Ministry Team and Youth Choir of Davie Community Worship Center. Here she fostered, encouraged and enlightened the young men & women of the church with her warmth, kindness and unwavering love. In February 2012, Orlene met Perry Davis at her cousin's graduation dinner. Little did she know she would be wed in 2019 to her soulmate. A love story that transcended time and touched many hearts. Together they created a home filled with laughter, warmth, and boundless love. Orlene is survived by husband Perry Davis, mother Lydia Campbell, Father Altiman Campbell, brother Dwight Campbell, sister/cousin Danielle Morrison, god son Adonis Gabbedon, god daughter Kennedy Samuel and a host of loving aunt’s, cousin’s, family, and friends who will forever hold dear their memories of her. Her unwavering spirit in the face of adversity was an inspiration to all who knew her. Let us take comfort in the knowledge that she now watches over us from above, her spirit adorned with angel wings. We will miss her dearly. The funeral service to honor and celebrate Orlene’s life will be held on Saturday, April 6th, 2024, at Davie Community Worship Center, 4140 SW 54th Ave, Davie, FL 33314. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that flower donations be sent to Davie Community Worship Center. May Orlene Grace Campbell-Davis rest in eternal peace, free from pain, and may her memory continue to bring comfort to those who mourn her passing.
