Joseph C. Edouard

Obituary Joseph Claude Edouard was born on March 1, 1944, to his parents Verdieu Edouard and Amicile Thelisca. He was the second born of fourteen children and was raised in Carrefour Marin, where he spent his early years. From a young age, Joseph loved the Lord and developed a strong foundation of faith. Joseph learned the value of diligence, perseverance, and responsibility, qualities that remained with him throughout his life. These early experiences helped shape his character and develop the strong work ethic that would define him for years to come. In 1979, Joseph migrated to the United States in search of greater opportunities. Through hard work and determination, he built a life centered on faith, family, and service. He met the love of his life, Carole Edouard, in 1981 while he was the youth Pastor at Church of God Rogers Ave. They got married after a year of courtship and built a strong loving family. After several years in New York, they relocated to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, in 1993. Joseph was a founder and faithful servant of Bethel Church of God Ministries. He was a devoted preacher who loved the Lord wholeheartedly and remained committed to serving God throughout his life. His faith was unwavering, and he inspired many through his words, prayers, and example. Joseph was known as a hardworking provider, a man of strong faith, and one who faced illness with courage and resilience. He was deeply devoted to his family and always sought to provide, protect, and encourage those he loved. His strength, wisdom, and steadfast spirit left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. On April 17, 2026, Joseph passed peacefully, surrounded by his loving family. He leaves to cherish his precious memory his beloved wife, Carole Edouard; his children: Erlande and her husband Jean Yves, Rubens and his wife Grace, Greg and his wife Karina, Daniel, Jean, Joseph and his wife Lucinda, Joshua, and Jasmine and her husband Gregory; his cherished grandchildren, Shimei, Stravinsky, Kella, Azaryah, Sephora, Sydelle, and Noah; his sisters, Marie Alerte and her husband, Eronne and her husband, Ureste and her husband; his nieces and nephews, extended family; church family; and many dear friends. Though he is no longer with us in body, his love, legacy, and faith will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished.
