Daphne L. Boswell

Obituary Daphne L. Boswell was born in Pimento Walk, Ocho Rios, Jamaica on February 14, 1930, to Lillian and Herman Boswell. Daphne received her early education at the Exchange Elementary School in Saint Ann, Jamaica. The then principal, Mr. Allen Byfield, and his wife, Mrs. Una Byfield, “adopted” her as their daughter. Later, she attended Mico Teachers College in Kingston, Jamaica. As an educator, she eventually served as a teacher’s aide at her elementary school and subsequently joined the staff of Trench Town Primary School in Jamaica. Daphne migrated to the USA in 1967, where she led a purpose-driven life in service to humanity. Upon retiring, she moved from the Bronx to Fort Lauderdale, FL in 2008, where she embraced her retired lifestyle. It was here, in Florida that she bid farewell to this world on February 28, 2022. She leaves to mourn her sisters Louise Lillian Boswell-Hall, Birdeline Louise Dixon, Kathleen Gordon, Herminie Boswell, Enid Boswell, brother Desmond Boswell, many nieces and nephews, friends, and well-wishers. May she rest in peace.
