Obituary Stephen (Steve) Vernon Dujon was born on September 21st, 1945 to the late Mr. Gerald and Mary Dujon on the Island of Castries, St. Lucia. He was the eldest of four brothers and three sisters. Steve affectionately known as “Son”, attended the Marchand Elementary School, Miss Taebelle Private School, RC Boys High School, and spent the rest of his teenage years in Castries. In 1964, he migrated to Christiansted in St. Croix and worked for many years upholding jobs starting as a bartender until he owned his own establishment named Steve's Restaurant at Queens Quarter. Stephen and Yolande were married on February 27th 1970 at the Frederiksted Catholic Church. They welcomed the birth of three daughters, Jacqueline in 1970, Sharon in 1972, and Stephanie in 1977. He then relocated to Florida to work as a welder and cook in Marina Bay and Pier 66 restaurants where he was a chef and had the pleasure cooking for Burt Reynolds, Sammie Davis Jr., and Paul Newman. Stephen and Yolande welcomed their fourth child Sherry in 1982. He then started one of many business ventures with his brother Edward also known as T-Pap titled E&S Ltd., and Pantry Pride Bakeries in his native home of St. Lucia. Steve was a very ambitious, bold, outspoken, caring, loving, and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, co-worker, and friend who was very funny and loved to entertain. On May 4th after fighting a hard fight with Alzheimer's disease, Steve answered the call from God to be relieved from sickness to spread his eternal wings. Steve’s cherished memories live in the hearts of his devoted loving wife Yolande Dujon of fifty years, four daughters Jacqueline Bryant (Gerald), Sharon D. Rogers, Stephanie Harris (Charles), and Dr. Sherry Sanders (Erlin). Four brothers Michael Dujon (St. Croix), Sylvester Dorenee (St. Lucia), Edward Dujon (St. Lucia), and Stephen George Paul (St. Lucia). Three sisters Clara Nock (St. Croix), Kieran Merle Dujon (Puerto Rico), and Eunice Paul (St. Lucia). His grandchildren are Marquis Dujon, NaQuelle Johnekins (Demetrius Sr.), Na’zjai Harris, Laila Rogers, and Preston Sanders. Great-grandchildren are Korshonna Dujon, Aliyah Johnekins, Khloe Dujon, Demetrius Johnekins Jr., along with a host of many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends who loved him dearly.
