Georges Paul Andre’ Clinton, passed away at the age of 107 on Saturday, July 18th, 2026, at home in Naples, Florida. Georges was born and raised in Port -au- Prince, Haiti was a loving husband, father, grandfather, a passionate teacher, and devout Catholic. Mr. Georges Clinton, a Haitian national, was Director of the Youth Section of the Haitian Red Cross and a first-aid instructor. A teacher of physical education and community development, he studied health education and community development at Illinois State University. Before devoting himself to the Red Cross 1954-1965, he held various positions in the field of education where he would dedicate his time to improving the lives of his students. Mr. Clinton led after school programs in Haiti for soccer, and Skills-USA that would go on to win numerous national awards for several years. Mr. Georges Clinton was a member of the League of Red Cross Societies in Geneva Switzerland assigned to Africa, and was the first traveling delegate appointed under the Development Program. Since joining the branch, he continuously aided Young Societies in Upper Volta (now Burkina Faso) and received a national decoration from the government of Upper Volta in recognition of his humanitarian service. He continued working through missions in Cameroon and Niger, also with the Red Cross of Côte d’Ivoire. (Ivory Coast) Mr. Clinton traveled extensively throughout Africa promoting the ideals and principles of the International Red Cross. New youth groups were created in Bouake, Divo, Aboisso, and other locations, as well as local Red Cross committees. Georges Clinton – moved to the US to join his family and welcomed the birth of his third son Patrick in spring 1966. He worked at various corporations (Mobil Oil co, Merryl Lynch) while living in New York and raised his sons, until retiring to Port -au-Prince in the summer of 1972. Beyond work, Georges was an avid fan of soccer and sports and enjoyed watching international team sports and competitions to include Olympic games. He loved family picnics and playing Badminton in the park, he had an innate joy for life and infectious personality captivating all who met him that became close friends. Georges is survived by his three sons and five grandchildren who adore him.
