Rose Laurent

Rose Guillaume Laurent – born Rose Laurent, 77, called to heaven on Tuesday, February 18, 2020, at the Advent Hospital in Orlando. Her husband, Dilius S. L. Guillaume, predeceased her in February 1992. Rose is survived by her six loving children who brought her great joy, Seneque Guillaume-Saintil, Irlande Sajous Guillaume, Oris Guillaume, Frisner Guillaume, Daphnie Valsaint Guillaume, and Ashley Jean-Baptiste; Rose left us with 8 siblings; five sisters Amina D. Laurent, Marilene J. Laurent, Rose-Annie, Madette R. Laurent, Veronique D. Laurent and three brothers, Pierrot Laurent, Enock Laurent, and Arsene Laurent; seven grandchildren, Gallil, Chris , Brad, Freidnesha, and Norrie Guillaume, Mirchine S. Singleton, Kevin Sajous, Mikhah L. Valsaint, and Ayva Metellus. Two sons-in-law and three daughters-in-law; one great-grandchild; 25 nieces and 12 nephews. 4 brothers-in law and 3 sisters in laws. She was predeceased by two brothers, Armand and Avilon Laurent. She was born in Limbe, Haiti on August 16, 1942; daughter of the late, Actuel and Elzina Laurent. At a young age, she started her own business as a micro-entrepreneur trader with her late husband. Later, Rose emigrated to Miami, FL in 1984, during a period of dictatorship and political turmoil in Haiti. She relocated from Miami to Immokalee, FL, and lived in Georgia from 2007 to 2019. She passed away in Orlando, FL. On February 18, 2020. Rose loved to be with people and found great joy in helping others. She loved and enjoyed serving God. She instilled the love of God in her children and always sent them to Sunday school and Bible study at an early age. She served as a Deaconess at the Haitian United Evangelical church in Immokalee, Florida. She last served as Deaconess at Mitspa Baptist Church of Norcross, Georgia. She loved to spend time at the church and always enjoyed praying with people over the phone; she also enjoyed being with family, giving to others. Rose held her children, family, friends, country, education, generosity, integrity, jokes, good food, cooking, and prayer in the highest esteem. Overall, she loved God, and served Him faithfully. ___________________________ THE VIEWING will be held at Grace Funeral Chapels on Friday, March 6th from 5-9 PM at 5980 W.
